After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the America study tour went to Hawaii from March 3rd to March 9th 2023. Until 2020, the study tour had been going to Orlando, Florida, but for 2023 the destination for the overseas study tour was changed to Hawaii.
　The students broadened their intellectual horizons about Hawaii and the people on the island of Oahu. Educational programs were prepared in cooperation with the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
　During the trip, students participated in many educational and recreational activities. The students performed pre-trip research and prepared questions for their interaction with the students at The University of Hawaii. All students were warmly welcomed and successfully conducted their interviews and research during their visit. The students reported their findings to the group during the trip at discussion sessions which were conducted in English and are scheduled to make a final written report upon return from the trip.
　Other than their visit to the University of Hawaii, the students went to Moanulua Gardens, Nuuanu Pali, Iolani Palace, Pearl Harbor, Byodo Temple and Dole Plantation to mention a few. They also had the chance to enjoy Hawaiian cultural events and food, beautiful beaches, shopping, and chatting with the local people and tourists.
　The 2023 trip to Hawaii was a great success thanks to the students' efforts and the support of the local people.
